YYC Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa flow yoga synchronizes movement with breath. The teacher instructs each breath (inhales and exhales) to guide the student to flow from one pose to the next. This creates a rather dance like movement due to the way the poses flow together smoothly. Poses are held for varying lengths (usually 5 breaths), but not usually for extended periods of time. Focus is on bringing awareness to breath, dynamic movement, building heat and proper alignment to guide the student into a meditative flow allowing for stillness of the mind.
